AATG-MI - Spring Workshop:

This year's AATG-Mi Annual
Spring Meeting and Workshop/panel!

On April 20, 2001, at 3.30, the AATG-MI conducted its

Spring Workshop

in form of a Panel Discussion about Languages and Business at

DaimlerChrsyler's new Mack Plant

in Detroit, MI. The panel was preceded by a tour of the plant.

Our 2001 AATG-Mi Annual Spring Meeting and Workshop/panel took place in form of a Panel Discussion about Languages and Business at DaimlerChrsyler's new Mack Avenue Engine Plant in Detroit, MI (main entrance is located off St.Jean between Mack Ave. and Warren Ave). The panel was preceded by a tour of the plant. The director of State Relations, Fred Hoffman, the education coordinator, Nellie LaGarde, 2 Germans from Headquarters, and employees from the plant did participate.
The goal of the event: to discuss what is being done and what can be done when businesses and companies work together in order to train our workforce. Our Business meeting took place at the Dakota Inn, a German restaurant where Detroit's German teachers have their monthly Stammtisch (located at John R./6 Mile:
Map .).

Please keep that date free, so that you can attend. We would like to discuss what is being done and what can be done when businesses and companies work together in order to train our workforce. Our Business meeting will take place at the Dakota Inn, a German restaurant where Detroit's German teachers have their monthly Stammtisch (located at John R./6 Mile).

NEW INFO (last update: Thursday 2.30 PM) about the Daimler event:

Time: 3.30 (if you can, come earlier.) The tour will take between 30-40 minutes, and the Panel Discussion will last about 1 hr and 20. The director of State Relations, Fred Hoffman, the education coordinator, Nellie LaGarde, maybe 2 Germans from Headquarters, and employees from the plant will participate. Our Business Meeting will be afterwards at the Dakota Inn (check the link above to the address).

All the teachers who would like to come, should send me an email, so that I can put you on the list (even if you are not sure, send me your name).
